Robert S. Randazzo posted a news briefing of the latest PMDG projects progress. And it goes real slow in the area of Flight Simulator, where it will need likely more than a year before any advanced airliner can fly with a PMDG livery.
PMDG Development Update – BBJ Package, 777 Update, and more by Ohan Merguerian on 27th September 2020 MSFS News P3D Robert Randazzo has provided the community with a weekend update on how the PMDG team is coping with the requirements of MSFS. Robert also provides updates on the 737 NGXu BBJ package and the B777. A basic concept to remember is that the current leg in the active route cannot be changed. Also, the VNAV Perf Unavailable has very little to do with the PERF data page; rather, it simply means that the VNAV path prediction program is unable to calculate a solution based on the information you gave it. This is not the case of PMDG 777. Here not only the switches make a sound but they also make different sounds depending on the knob, switch or button type and construction. There are even slight differences between switches of the same type – like in case of two Auto-Throttle switches.
For P3D simmers, the news are much more optimistic with an important update for their current B777-300ER an -200LR/F, maybe ready next month. And then, will come the 777-200ER expansion, shipping with Electronic Flight Bag features + the engines variants (Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce and GE).
