Opponents

Nitrogen Poker has very soft competition. The reason is normally because of the fact that the players coming from the online casino and sportsbetting areas of Nitrogen Sports are relatively new to playing poker and most of them are likely to play poker aggressively. With that in mind, it is absolutely guaranteed that gameplay at Nitrogen Poker is enormously loose and exciting. Most of the soft-competition players are found at the Texas Hold ‘Em and Omaha tables.

Tournaments

There are several tournaments available at Nitrogen Poker. They currently provide Texas Hold’em, Omaha, and Crazy Hold’em tournaments across various limits and formats. Tournament types include freeroll tournaments (daily freerolls and weekly freerolls), turbos, and guaranteed tournaments. Nitrogen Sports has hosted the biggest poker tournament ever in the world of Bitcoin, with a 10 BTC jackpot won by a Seals with Clubs regular called DaBears11.

Nitrogen Poker offers a good selection of games which includes Texas Hold’Em, Omaha, and Crazy Hold’em.

Good: Nitrogen poker was opened 2014 and it's fully anonymous and bitcoin operated site. Software: You can play only on web browser. The design is nothing special and you don't have too much option for costumization. Traffic: The traffic is not too large few tables per limit on nl holdem tables and about 1 per limit on plo. Cashgames: The games are played in their curency Mbtc. 1000 Mbtc's is 1 btc. Limits go from nl2 to nl2k. The main games are omaha and nlh holdem, but you can find short deck and fl holdem too. Tournaments: You can play tournaments on few different games formats. They have daily guaranted prize pools which busted at weekends. Opponents: The opponents don't seems too good, so games are prety much very soft. Bonuses/Loyalty: They don't offer and deposit bonus but they have their reward program. Vip programs have 5 levels which can get you from 10 to 50 percent rakeback. You can exchange your loyalty points for free bets or cash. Everything that’s available on the full website is available from any mobile browser, including the sports, casino, and poker sections. There is no Nitrogen Sports app to download because it just works directly from the website. It sounds very simple, but the ’90s group chat room at Nitrog en Sports is one detail that stood out to me compared with the bigger onlin e betting sites. It’s a “troll box” style chat window that pops up at the top of your window every time you load a new page. I don’t think Nitrogen Sports or Poker is going to compete with the big boys anytime soon, but that’s okay. They’re offering an anonymous way to gamble online for Bitcoin, a smattering of casino games with proven fairness, and an efficient poker room with some quality cash games. I enjoyed my time enough at Nitrogen Sports that I ended up leaving some Bitcoin there to play with after the review process. . The no-download póker software is a good news too, because I may ply it in my work´s computer without any problems for a while. The bad news, really bad news for me, is that there only acept Bitcoin. I wait that this restriction not become popular because I have too much learning póker (and buying some complementary programs) for to have to learn about the bitchain and to buy a new computer to make it. The idea is a bit atracting…but not please! So I only could play there some freerolls, and they are really few. As I could saw, the traffic is very por but the freerolls are full of crazy fishes. They are recreationals that never played serious póker. I don´t have bitcoins but there aren´t any bonuses for deposit it. If I have it, I would think about do it. Good: 1) Well-designed and very fast website with a great knowledge base. 2) Nitrogen Sports does accept bitcoin as a payment method. 3) If you are a new to bitcoin, it's easy to set-up your bitcoin wallet through their website. 4) They run freerolls several times a day, and there's not a lot of players playing there. Easy money. 5) No country restrictions. 6) A sportsbook is there if you're tired of poker. ----- Bad: 1) A very small field of players. 2) Nitrogen sports(poker) does not have a downloadable client. It's bad for me, as I don't like playing in browser. It's not convinient and takes a lot of system resources to play multiple tables via browser. Also there are more glitches in general(for all poker rooms) than in a downloadable version. 3) A poor selection of tournaments. 4) Only bitcoin is accepted by the payment method and onsite currency. No credit cards or e-wallets. 5) Annoying chat widget. 6) Only holdem and omaha games are available. Overall: Currently Nitrogen is not my choice. As the name suggests Nitrogen Sports first is a bookie, but also offers a poker room. To play games there, players don`t need to download a poker client. All games are played directly in the web-browser, as ist standard with casino games lately, but still unusual for poker. Poker at Nitrogen means Holdem, no Omaha, no Stud. Traffic at the no limit cash tables is reasonable, but SnGs and MTTs are not a strong point, with very low to nonexistend traffic. Nitrogen Sports manages deposits and withdrawals via bitcoin. So the cash outs are handled really fast.

what i like about nitrogen sports most is that they accept bitcoins, if you happen to be engaged in arms trafficking, money laundering, belong to he mafia, or have a pot plantation and sell the spar pot accepting btc's as your sole currency nitrogen sports is a great place where you could easily spend your hard earned virtual currency into something more tangible, say us of a green paper. surely traffic is not on par with such bot infused places as pokerstars, but if you play cash games, you will always find a table to get into action, and since they are called nitrogen sports- you get the idea, that sports betting is their strong side. i believe you can try it out, especially with a nice deposit bonus on offer if you register through bankrollmob.

Don't get what is the difference between this specifical bankrollmob offer ( being it under deposit bonus section) and the normal offer Nitrogen apply to the general public. ?? I mean the same conversion rate of 3.2 BTC for 40K Nitrogen points can be seen and obtained if you register directly on Nitrogen without going trought BankrollMob. I would expect BRM offering something a little bit more convenient for us players if we play there as their referrals.

Nitrogen Sports - as you can see it on their name of choice - is mainly a sportsbetting website which features poker on the side as well. Bitcoin based and operated from Costa Rica, they accept US players and they are active on many social media such as twitter, reddit and facebook. You might as well try contacting them there if you don't really want to follow up their standard support system in case you have a question or two... Traffic is they key issue here, many people not comfortable yet gambling strictly on BTC - the sportsbettors of the place should provide some constant playerpool to the poker section - since there is no requirement to download their software in order to play at the tables - but they only doing it during peak hours and mainly the low-limit cash tables are the ones which popular. Tournament selection could be a little more diversified too in my opinion. Rakeback program available. Overall a clean-cut place with a good layout and a nicely coded website, if you are a BTC gambler certainly worth a try registering here.

The Bitcoin-based online gaming space continues to grow by leaps and bounds. As the public becomes more educated on cryptocurrencies, they will be used more frequently; think about how long it took for you to use your credit card online and now how you can’t live without that option.

While some brands are mixing Bitcoin into the equation by allowing players to make their deposits in the currency, then converting it to traditional currency for game play, many sites are now embracing the concept of using Bitcoin for all transactions. Nitrogen Sports is one of these places, and they are the focus of this review.

About Nitrogen Sports

Nitrogen Sports have been around only for a short period of time; the site was established in 2012, at the early adoption stage of Bitcoin’s development. The company is based in San Jose, Costa Rica and at the time of this review is not licensed anywhere except that country. This is an early red flag for me; Costa Rica doesn’t have a gaming-specific licensing system despite the number of operators that call it home. As a result, there isn’t much in the way of player protection should something happen at these operators. However, I personally know many legitimate companies who operate from San Jose, so I am going to park that as we continue this review.

Who Can Play at Nitrogen Sports

Given the fact that the company operates in Costa Rica, and that they aren’t licensed by any other gaming authority, it is safe to say that anyone can play at Nitrogen Sports. The only restriction is that you need to have a Bitcoin wallet to house the currency you need to play the games.

Software Suppliers

Usually, at this point of a review, I get to talk about the great supplier that a casino has chosen to partner with and what that means for you as the player. In the case of Nitrogen Sports, it would appear that all of their games were built in-house, so we are at the mercy of learning about the games only by trial and error. Have no fear, I am going to play each of their games, so I have a clear sense of the quality of the software; there are no reports of any lag or lack of quality to the games, so that is a good sign.

The Good Stuff

Offers multiple channels

We like any site that offers players a chance to play various types of betting with one unified wallet. Although their choices for casino games are currently limited, you do have the opportunity to play casino, poker, and sports with your Nitrogen account. For someone dipping their toe into Bitcoin betting for the first time, this is an added bonus.

Excellent Instructional Blog

As with anything new that is presented to you, there will be some degree of trepidation associated with that introduction. This applies in particular when it comes to your money (see my comment about credit card use online above). Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency can make people uncomfortable; this is relatively new, and there aren’t that many people who truly understand the concept. Nitrogen Sports does an excellent job of not only providing a clear description of Bitcoin, but they also walk you through how to set up a wallet and buy your currency, then how to get it to the casino. Once you get the hang of it, Bitcoin is actually pretty simple to navigate; Nitrogen will help you along each step of the journey.

The Bad Stuff

Software Certification

The proprietary software used by the site for its games does not appear to have been independently certified by any of the main gaming auditing firms; this is another small red flag for me when reviewing the site as a whole. Now, I know the certification process is costly, and perhaps the site needs that capital to run the business right now, but without having some third party look at the games to certify their random behavior leaves me with just a little bit of a bad feeling.

No Signup Bonus

I will review the current promotions at the site a little further down the review, but I have to point out that at the moment, there does not appear to be an initial Deposit Bonus. This is a cornerstone of online casino marketing, so I am surprised not to see at least some sort of small bonus, especially given that players need to jump through a couple extra hoops just to get currency to the site.

Game Selection

I am going to start with the Casino section of the Nitrogen Sports website, as that is usually the focal point of my reviews. As I mentioned, the company is building their own casino games, and for now, the options are limited compared to other online casinos, even ones that are Bitcoin-only.

Table Games

Nitrogen Sports does offer a few different table games for your enjoyment. They have a Blackjack game, which they offer in Singel Deck, Double Deck and standard 8 Deck varieties. You can also find Baccarat and 3 Card Poker available to play in their lobby. The games have the standard rules to them, but you should note that you can only wager in BTC, which means you will have to do some rough calculations to know what you are playing for in terrestrial currency.

The minimum bets for the Table Games are 0.001 BTC, and the maximum depends on the game variant.

Dice

This is a favorite game in the Bitcoin community. The game isn’t built around the standard six-sided dice that are used for craps and other betting games; this game is based on a digital roll of the “dice” which can end up with a result anywhere between 0 and 99.99. The object of the game is to place a wager on whether or not the result of the spin will be higher or lower than a set value. What is interesting about this game is that you set the odds; let me have the site explain it to you.

You set the “Chance of Winning” as a percentage, between 0.01 and 98.0, which, in turn, establishes the number in which you must end up either above or below your choice.

By adjusting the various fields you can alter the odds, and subsequent winnings, to be lower but with less risk, or higher, but with greater risk/reward.

Fields that can be adjusted include:

• Bet Amount (how much you want to risk).
• Win Chance (a number representing the % chance to win between 0.01 and 98).
• Payout (the payout odds that will be applied to the bet).
• Whether you want to choose lower or higher.

By altering one field, the others adjust automatically, giving you the odds and amounts needed to accomplish your desired outcome, should you guess correctly.

It may sound a little confusing at first, but trust me, when you get used to playing this game it is a lot of fun!

As far as sportsbooks go, the total number of bet types at Nitrogen Sports isn’t as varied as you will find at some of the larger books in the market. However, I will give the site credit; they take action on a lot of different sports, including eSports, which is a favorite of those who use regularly use Bitcoin as a currency. I applaud any company that embraces new technology; there are too many of us who shy away from anything that causes us unrest. Nitrogen Sports is at the forefront of the cryptocurrency gambling market; this can be a blessing and a curse.
